Money can be a huge source of stress and anxiety.
Do you feel like you're bad with money and never have enough, no matter how much you earn?
Are you afraid to look at your bills or log in to your bank account?
I help women in their 20s-30s overcome fear, anxiety, and hopelessness related to money.
I can help if you are struggling with any of the following:
- overspending or not saving
- accumulating debt
- fear, stress, or anxiety over money
- worrying about money constantly or avoiding thinking about it
- not sticking to financial goals
- guilt over spending money
- financial dependence on others
- making unwise money decisions (eg. risky investments or lending too much money)
- arguing about money with loved ones
Struggling with money can make you feel trapped and ashamed.
You want to change but can't figure out how to make it stick.
A lot of people struggle to manage their money and yet it's an experience that can fill you with shame.
It's normal to feel anxious, overwhelmed, and want to avoid reality when you can't see a way to reach your financial goals.
The thought of finally addressing your relationship with money can be intimidating.
Having regrets about past decisions and feeling hopeless about the economy can keep you stuck but you don't have to face this challenge alone. It's never too late to turn your finances around and I'm passionate about helping women improve their financial well-being.
Together, we'll uncover and address the root causes of your money issues so you can build a better life for yourself.
How do I help?
I'll help you gain a new understanding of your relationship with money and reduce feelings of overwhelm and hopelessness so you can improve your financial well-being.
You'll have safe and shame-free space to explore your patterns, learn new skills, and also have some laughs.
Together, we can:
- identify deeply-held beliefs about money and yourself that drive unhelpful behaviours
- explore your early experiences with money and financial trauma and how these have influenced your beliefs
- develop new, more helpful beliefs about money and yourself
- find new coping strategies to reduce problem behaviours and get you closer to your goals
- increase your confidence so you can learn new skills and feel good about managing your money
- break harmful intergenerational patterns so you can create a new family legacy
Based on your unique situation and needs, I'll draw from cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), internal family systems (IFS) therapy, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed practices to help you reach your goals.
Go from feeling anxious and ashamed to feeling confident and hopeful about the future.
PLEASE NOTE: I am not a financial planner, accountant, or other type of financial professional, so I cannot advise you regarding the specific logistics of how to manage your finances. I am a mental health professional who will help you address the root causes of unhelpful money behaviours and empower you to take the steps needed to reach your financial goals.
If you want to transform your relationship with money, I'm ready to help you make lasting change.
